BOB PAULSON NAMED MANAGER OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
(Neenah, Wis.) Bob Paulson has been named Manager of Business Development for Minergy Corporation. In this position, he will be responsible for promoting new applications for Minergy’s vitrification technology, as well as working with the diverse constituencies involved in the evaluation of sediment treatment technology for the Fox River cleanup projects.
Paulson previously worked as Senior Environmental Scientist and managed the Madison, Wis., office of The RETEC Group, a strategic environmental services firm in Madison, Wis. He also spent more than 12 years working as an Environmental Toxicologist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, leading that agency’s technical efforts on the Lower Fox River contaminated sediment issue.
“Bob’s common sense approach to environmental issues reflects his diverse experience working for environmental consulting firms, regulatory agencies and academia,” said Wally Kunicki, Minergy Vice President. “We’re fortunate to bring someone on board who has firsthand experience with Minergy, having evaluated vitrification technology since 1999 on behalf of industry and regulatory agencies.”
Minergy Corporation, located in Neenah, Wis., specializes in the vitrification, or melting, of waste materials into Glass Aggregate, an inert glass product used by the construction industry. Waste materials processed by the company include sludges, sediments and soils. Minergy was established in 1993 as a subsidiary of Wisconsin Energy Corporation.
